The data structure I always wanted

The part of Ente I care about most is the data structure. It was the founding idea.

I have used a lot of project management tools: Notion, ClickUp, Jira, GitHub. They all create silos. A task lives in one board, one project, or one customer record. When something happened with a person and a company, I could not assign it to both and see it in both places. I had to think about structure first, before I knew how I would want to retrieve anything.

So the core of Ente is that activities are owned by multiple entities. I never have to choose a silo: I model the activity the way it happened in the real world, and retrieval takes care of itself. That reaches down to questions like which person got what information from me — suddenly just a query.

Voice input, meeting processing, and agent workflows are useful because they feed this structure. Without the structure, they would only create more notes.
